Apthera is completing Phase II clinical trials with NeuVax for the adjuvant treatment of early stage, HER2/neu-positive breast cancer. Results from two trials have shown that NeuVax reduces recurrence rates while showing minimal toxicity.

Planning is underway for a large Phase III clinical trial of NeuVax to prove the safety and efficacy of the product and prepare it for market. Apthera will seek FDA approval of NeuVax for the adjuvant treatment of node-positive breast cancer in women with low to intermediate levels of HER2/neu expression.
